Survivalist Emissary Type in TIMELESS

What a Survivalist does in TIMELESS

A Survivalist survives the initial chase, creates distance, and rotates to help teammates who are in trouble. Your job is to not die in the first engagement and to use that survival to apply pressure on the Entity from a position of advantage. You are not a second Sentinel. You are the reason the Entity chases you and finds an empty generator.

The Survivalist win condition is a round where you survive every chase and arrive at every generator the Entity is not on. Every coil used, every Charge landed, every cart ride is buying time for your team to finish gas.

Kits that are Survivalists

Guest — the Survivalist teaching kit. Gravity coil punch (Helpless 2s, 25s cooldown), Speed coil (long windup), Regen coil (heals but lights area and makes noise). The teaching point is coil discipline: Gravity coil Helpless is a peel tool, not a damage tool. Speed coil is a committed rotate, not a panic button. Regen coil is a trade — you heal but you become visible and audible. Guest is the Survivalist because coil mobility is the clearest self-peel in the roster. A Guest who uses speed coil to rotate to a generator the Entity is not on is doing the Survivalist job. A Guest who speed coils into a chase they cannot win is not.

Jane Doe — Survivalist with Charge and Roll. Charge (20s: Slowness II 1.5s, Helpless 1s, Speed II 2s on hit; or Slowness III 3s on miss). Roll (21s). Corrupted arm from Mr. Doe. Jane plays Survivalist by landing Charge as a peel — she moves herself and applies slow to the Entity simultaneously. A missed Charge is Slowness III for 3 seconds, which is a punishment. Jane is a survivalist because her mobility is conditional on hit accuracy, not on cooldown management alone.

Noob — disruption Survivalist. Cart ride, rocket launcher, boombox. Noob is not a pure mobility kit — he is a disruption kit with mobility tools. The cart changes where bodies are. The rocket is a noisy interrupt. The boombox is information and chaos. Noob plays Survivalist by making the Entity’s next cooldown a mistake. A Noob who carts a body off a fire, rockets an Entity who is camping a revive, and booms an exit route is playing Survivalist. A Noob who booms while his team is trying to hide is not.

How to play Survivalist

  1. Survive the chase. Your coils, Charge, and mobility tools are for self-preservation first and rotation second.
  2. Rotate to the generator the Entity is not on. A Survivalist who survives a chase and returns to the same generator is a Survivalist who donated time.
  3. Peel for teammates who are in trouble. Gravity coil Helpless on the Entity chasing your Builderman, Charge on the Entity grabbing your Sentinel.
  4. Do not waste mobility on panic. Speed coil used in panic is a speed coil that is not available for rotation.
  5. Use disruption tools intentionally. Rocket an Entity who is committing to a revive. Boom an exit route before your team reaches it. Noob disruption is a tool, not a toy.

Survivalist on different maps

Construction (small): Close quarters mean coils and Charge are high-value. A Guest who speed coils across Construction covers multiple generators in seconds. A Jane who Charge on Construction covers a door or revive pile.

Starter Place / Area 51 (medium): Medium size means rotation discipline matters. Speed coil on Guest covers medium distances in one use. Charge on Jane is a peel tool on medium corridors.

Horror Hotel (large): Multi-floor means vertical mobility matters. Guest coils and Jane Charge/Roll help with floor-to-floor rotation. Noob cart ride changes body positions across floors.

Yorick’s Resting Place (large): Wide plots make speed coil rotation critical. A Guest who can speed coil across a plot to a generator the Entity is not on is doing the Survivalist job. Jane Charge across open plots is a miss risk — charge shorter lines.

Crossroads, Town of Robloxia, Hallowsville: Mixed scale. Speed coil covers street distances well on Town of Robloxia. Jane Charge in corridors works on Crossroads. Noob disruption works on all maps when used intentionally.

Survivalist against Entity types

Chaser (Mr. Doe, 007n7, Destroyer Bot): Chasers maintain sustained pressure. Your job is to use mobility to avoid the sustained pressure — speed coil through the corridor the Chaser is patrolling, not into the Chaser’s face.

Rushdown (Kolossos, fast Ellernate): Rushdowns want the fast collapse. Your self-peel (Gravity coil Helpless, Jane Charge) is highest-value against Rushdown because it cancels their burst window. Use peel tools when the Rushdown commits, not before.

Trapper (Ellernate zone, Zombie King patience): Trappers want you to burn mobility on zone avoidance. Speed coil through a Fire Wall is a mobility expense, not a peel. Position to avoid the zone rather than burning coil to get through it.

Snowballer (Zombie King infection, 007n7 Induction late): Snowballers get stronger as the lobby thins. Your mobility is most valuable keeping you alive in a full lobby so the Snowballer cannot start their economy. Every survival in a 6-person lobby is denying the Snowballer their first convert.

Survivalist versus the other roles

Sentinel (Shedletsky, BrightEyes, Nikilis): A Sentinel near you means your peel tools (coils, Charge) are available for self-preservation rather than peeling for the Sentinel. Coordinate — if the Sentinel has stun, you do not need to peel them.

Support (Builderman and his buildings): A Support near you means your generator rotations have cover. Stay near Support buildings so your survival rotations have somewhere to go.

Last 50 Seconds as Survivalist

The eight is running exits. Your mobility is now exit-finding, not generator rotation. Speed coil to the exit the Entity is not cutting. Charge through the corridor the Entity is camping. Use disruption tools (rocket, boombox) on the exit the eight is funneling toward.

Do not speed coil into a Last 50 hazard (poison, fire, lightning, powerlines, lasers) that you cannot see. A Survivalist who speed coils into lightning is a Survivalist who just lost the round for their team.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for TIMELESS rounds, codes, and character picks.

What is a Survivalist in TIMELESS?

A Survivalist survives the chase and rotates to apply pressure from advantage. Guest coils, Jane Doe Charge/Roll, and Noob disruption are the primary Survivalist kits.

Why is Guest the Survivalist teaching kit?

Guest has three coils with distinct use cases: Gravity coil (peel), Speed coil (rotate), Regen coil (trade heal). Coil discipline is the Survivalist skill floor.

Is Noob a pure Survivalist?

Noob is a disruption Survivalist. Cart, rocket, and boombox are mobility and chaos tools, not pure self-peel. Use disruption intentionally.

What map is best for Survivalist?

Construction (small) is mobility-friendly — coils cover multiple generators. Large maps (Horror Hotel, Yorick's) make rotation discipline more valuable.

How does Survivalist play Last 50 Seconds?

Rotate to exits, not generators. Speed coil to the uncamped exit. Use disruption tools on exit routes the eight is funneling toward.

Where do Survivalist kit pages live?

Guest and Jane Doe have dedicated pages on the emissaries roster. Noob has a dedicated page there as well.
