TIMELESS Entity Types and Roles

Four ways to hunt in TIMELESS

TIMELESS Entities fall into four role types. These are not cosmetic categories — a Chaser and a Snowballer require different map reads, different cooldown budgets, and different win conditions inside a nine-player 1v8 round. Knowing which type you are queued as changes how you spend the first minute of generator pressure.

The four types are:

  • Chaser — sustained pressure, mid-range damage, map presence
  • Rushdown — close-range burst, fast rotates, aggressive opens
  • Trapper — zone control, patience, punishing bad Emissary positions
  • Snowballer — converts kills into advantage, momentum-based strength

This hub is the index. Each type has its own page with role breakdown, kit examples, and how to play the style. Pair it with the entity tier list for S/A/B ratings, the entities roster for kit pages, and how to play Entity for the pressure fundamentals every type shares.

How the four types differ

Chaser maintains presence across the map. You are not looking for one highlight kill; you are walking generators, forcing peels, and keeping the eight on edge about gas. Your cooldowns reward consistent pressure rather than a single perfect read.

Rushdown closes fast and hits hard in a short window. You want the Emissary who overextends, the generator pair that clumps too tight, or the revive pile you can collapse before Help arrives. Rotations are the skill floor. Once you commit, the window is short.

Trapper trades raw burst for long-term control. You want the Emissary who commits to a generator in a bad position, the revive that cannot finish because a wall or hazard is in the way, or the exit route that becomes lethal in Last 50 Seconds. Patience is your tool.

Snowballer gets stronger as the lobby thins. Infection, minions, converts — anything that turns a kill into more map pressure belongs here. You are weak in a full eight and dominant in a four-person lobby. Your win condition is not the first down; it is the second and third that follow from the first.

Which type is which kit

From the entities roster:

ChaserMr. Doe (free), 007n7 (projectile swap + World Warp patrol), Destroyer Bot (machine body, sustained chase). Mr. Doe is the teaching kit for this role because generator pressure with a melee claw is readable and repeatable.

RushdownKolossos (Charge double-impale, fast door plays), Ellernate (long-range projectiles + Fire Wall, but fast rotates on large maps). Kolossos Charge is the most recognizable Rushdown tool in the live roster.

TrapperEllernate also qualifies here with Fire Wall lane control, though the primary fit is zone-heavy maps. Zombie King (infection converts, poison staff, patience on snowball setup).

SnowballerZombie King is the clearest fit (infection passive converts kills into zombies). 007n7 with Induction also Snowballer-leaning when the lobby is reduced and c00lkid minions are on the map.

Specialist bodies like 1x1x1x1, Kool Killer, and Admin do not fit neatly into one type. They are documented on the entities roster with kit details and gameplay references.

How to use this hub

Read the type that matches your kit. If you main Mr. Doe, open Chaser and confirm generator patrol is your loop. If you bought Ellernate at 950 Tix, open both Rushdown and Trapper because the kit crosses types depending on map. If you are new to hunting, start with Chaser on the free Mr. Doe kit, then move to Rushdown when you understand rotation discipline.

Do not skip how to play Entity because the type sounds simple. Every type still has to walk generators, drop bad chases, and respect Last 50 Seconds exit pressure. The type is your style. The fundamentals are universal.

Map pool after the September 2026 pass: Construction (small, Chaser-friendly), Starter Place (medium), Yorick’s Resting Place (large), The Horror Hotel (large, all types), Area 51, Crossroads, Town of Robloxia, Hallowsville. Each map changes which type feels strongest. Horror Hotel rewards Trapper zone. Construction rewards Rushdown burst. Crossroads rewards Chaser patrol. Read the maps guide before you blame a type for a bad map pick.

There are no verified public promo codes as of September 2026; the codes hub stays honest. Tix prices: Mr. Doe free, Ellernate 950, Zombie King 1200. Watch Discord and patch notes for balance changes that shift which type dominates the current meta.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for TIMELESS rounds, codes, and character picks.

What are the four TIMELESS entity types?

Chaser (sustained pressure), Rushdown (fast burst), Trapper (zone control), and Snowballer (converts kills into advantage). Each type is a different hunt style, not a character class.

Which entity type is Mr. Doe?

Mr. Doe is a Chaser — free, melee, generator patrol. He is the teaching kit for sustained pressure without a Tix gate.

Is Ellernate a Rushdown or a Trapper?

Both, depending on map. On Horror Hotel and large layouts, Ellernate plays Trapper with Fire Wall lane control. On medium maps he plays Rushdown with fast projectile rotates.

Which entity type is strongest in Last 50 Seconds?

Snowballers (Zombie King, 007n7 Induction) gain the most from a reduced lobby. Chasers maintain consistent pressure regardless of round length.

Where do kit pages live?

On the entities roster. Each kit has a dedicated page with documented buttons and gameplay references.

Should I read type pages before the entity tier list?

Read how to play Entity first for fundamentals. Then open the type that matches your kit, then the entity tier list.
